The Kanye Glasses
Alright people, I just have to say that some stuff you see in a music video can only be done in a music video. One of those things is wearing the glasses that you see above. I saw some dude wearing these the other day, at night, in a dark room, and it just drove me crazy. I'm sure that him thinking he was cool also added to my disapproval, but some stuff you have to just leave to the artists. They can do it because they were the first to do it, but since they are, they are the only ones that should do it. The glasses are actually kinda fly, but there aren't too many that should be wearing them. Now there are a handful of people that can pull this, and some other stuff off, but the majority of people can't, and shouldn't attempt to.
Other things that can only happen in videos...
1. Wearing all pink in public while hopping out of a pink Escalade (I think we all know who I'm talking about)
2. Friends spraying liquor on each other (the Dipset crew did this, even though there was nothing cool about it)
3. Doing choreographed dances at a party/club
4. Plenty of others, I would just have to watch some videos to pick them out
Artists do these types of things to stand out and be original since they have to compete with so many others. If you want to stand out, do it by doing something that you thought of yourself, not something that you saw somebody else do on TV. Besides, most people look corny when they try to mimic the look of people on TV. Especially when it's very obvious. When its a general look that's fine, but when it really stands out, what are you trying to do?
Okay, I'm done. That stuff is just funny to me at times. Anyway, let me know what you think about the Kanye glasses. Do you own them? Anything else that should be added to the list up above? Omg I hate seeing people in the venetian blinds glasses, it like they are wearing a prop or somthing. Ive put a pair on before and you can barely see, I dont even see how they are stylish. Aye, but what do I know? About your list about things that can only happen in videos is the whole choreography thing. I will never forget the first club I went to in VA. There was a group of guys doing a dance that was synchronized. It was the weirdest and the wackest thing I think I have ever seen. Good Post Bro.

I got a couple you could add to the list: Musicians wearing trucker hats, and anything that Lady Gaga has every worn. If I ever see anyone wearing a meat suit or any other of her outfits I think I might lose it. If she had a somewhat good voice she wouldn't have to pull these flashy stunts to get attention. Let's stop rewarding artist who are more about the fame than the music.
