MC to Check Out (and an old school video just for kicks)

A while ago, I got an email from some dude named Fuze the MC out of Atlanta. At first, I'm kind of skeptical to even open up the email. But for some reason, I don't delete the email. I just leave it in my Inbox unopened. Then I get like two more emails over the course of the next week. Well, his marketing scheme worked on me because I finally gave in and checked him myspace. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting just another weak dude that was going to be talking about bangin' and having all sorts of money and all that, especially when the email I received said that he was only 17 years old.

When I get to his myspace, I listen to the first couple of songs, and dude can spit, especially for his age in this state of hip hop music (although I have to admit, I'm getting more and more excited about the new music coming out and the direction hip hop is going in). The lyrics are there, the flow is pretty nice, and the songs are pretty well constructed. I think he's going to need some polishing, but put in the right hands I definitely think he can become a really good MC.

I would advise that people check out his myspace when they get a chance at myspace.com/fuzethemc. Give him a few years, a few mixtapes and a little mentoring and you might have something here. Now I have only heard the handful of songs on the myspace so I don't want to get carried away, but I was just pleasantly surprised and i think that added to the appeal. Regardless of how people receive him, I'm just glad that there are still younger people that actually take this rap thing serious and realize the importance of the culture.

That's all I have for yall today. Since it was so short, below is a Das EFX video, Real Hip Hop, just cuz. Who doesn't love real hip hop. If you take a listen to Fuze, let me know what you think. If there is any topics you would like to see discussed up here, let me know either by comment or email (straightouttahiphop@gmail.com).

Peace.
